Don't let your girlfriend affect any of your Jeep decisions, just imagine how much worse it will be after you are married.  Do your own thing for now, let her get used to it  :biggrin:

Perkins makes excelent diesel engines, however they rev lower than a gas engine and power might be a concern also. If the power is in the range you are looking for you might still need to regear or run bigger tires to be able to get decent highway speed
