hey guys i am pretty new to this site, but i am really enjoying all the info on this site it is great, ok i have a question that i hope someone can answer i have a 95 yj with soa, i have a set of dana 44s the front is out of a 85 grand wagoneer and i want to do a soa again the problem i am looking at is the spring perch on the driverside is going to be partially on the pumpkin :brick: i have asked this question on other sites and have not met anyone who has done this, and by this i mean welding to the pumpkin if anyone has done this please help a brother out i am willing to try just about anything but my co pilot is my 10 year old daughter and i really dont wanna mess around with our lives by doin something i know nothing about thanks for any help in regards to this situation

This site shows one way of doing it. Just cut a little into the cast housing to fit the slightly narrower YJ perch spacing.

Oops, I realized you were going SOA. I imagine the same principal applies, just with a new perch on the other side.

no biggy i am just wondering about this because the pumpkin on the bottom half is squared off because it was used as a spring plate so the u-bolt will have to be square and i am not sure if this is ok or if i need to grind it round, basically i just want to be sure before i screw something up like i always do, but i do thank you for the quick and helpful reply.........P III
