Seems odd, it fit fine on my yj.   Dumb question, but did you remove the soft top rails?

The clowns'? Oh, yeah, the clowns. We fight them too — entire armies, spilling out of Volkswagons. We do our best to fight them off, but they keep sending 'em in!

I did remove the softop rails.. if those are the Chanel thing that goes on the tub for the soft top.... and i also removed the channel on top of the windshield which brings me to a new problem beign that all the holes for the screws that kept that Chanel have strees cracks coming out from them which is why i could never get the screws tight and why water was getting in my windshield frame and rusted out the bottom of it in areas.... its always more and more Just Empty Every Pocket
