part out question
« on: April 30, 2009, 08:44:57 PM »
I came across an 87 yj thats just for parting out for 400. What are clean titles worth. besides hard top and doors that arnt perfect I am pretty sure thats worth a decent buck. I think I am trading hard top and doors for some welding work. I am guessing around 300 for title and vin. if thats true then I can put the rest up for free to who wants to get it. I dont want to be greedy just if i come close to getting my moneyback I would be content.

Around KC area, if its running and a conv't Jeep, it will pull greater than $1500. Take a look at this at an auction. A friend was interested in this for a summer commuter, but it is now out of his cash range.

this is a roller. guy took what he wanted but what i need is still on it. isnt worth fixing to sell whole. However a clean title and vin may be worth and help out someone that has project with salvaged or missing title. Just wondering what title and vin go for. I mean I cam sell on tub or frame if I decide to get rid of frame so its legal and all.

no seriously I dont want to get caught doing anything illegal. well for one reason I work for the city of chicago and there is a huge ethics issue lately. no one corrupt ever worked for chicago, right? anyways dont wanna lose my job over something stupid. since I am parting out this vehicle what does the title go with? The tub, the frame . what are the legalities. do i just dispose of it or what?
