OX Locker installed
« on: June 11, 2009, 10:32:15 PM »
Over the past couple of years I have upgraded a few items. 1) re-geared to 4.88 and put a posi in the rear (dana 35) Love it! 2.5" lift , 31's and stock gearing was bad. 2) I put an OX in the front Dana 30. Man it works great!!! and love the performance.

I put a posi Lok in on the front also and got rid of the vacuum stuff for the four wheel drive plus it now allows me to have two wheel low.
I put the posi on the back because of the bad rep the dana 35 has. It works great but needed something up front. I choose the OX for a couple of reasons. I like the cable/mechanical engage and disengage. I bought the OX directly from Randy's ring and pinon, $702 for the locker, cable and shipping. It was on sale and I saved $250.

I did not want the arb. Good product but not for me. I did not want more electrical stuff, the compressor under the hood, the air lines, and it cost more. I have a small portable compressor that I carry with me. I use the portable compressor for re inflating my jeep tires, the air bags on my dodge when pulling the 34" 5th wheel and my quad tires when the jeep is at home. This is not the cigarette lighter compressor. I needed a portable compressor!

The posi for the dana 35 and the OX for the front work for me. Having a selectable locker in the front is great and will take me places I haven't been!!

Happy Wheelin

Just so you know, OX also has air or electric actuated options now.
