Topic: Engine stumbles only at startup/initial acceleration

I've got a '93 YJ 2.5L that stumbles/almost seems like it could backfire when I go through my initial set of switching gears/accelerating after starting it. If I drive the Jeep for a bit and shut it off for a few mins, it's still warm when I restart, it doesn't happen as often. It doesn't happen at any other point when I'm driving or accelerating. It seems to be hit or miss and chokes when my foot is on the gas, not the clutch, only near startup. Any ideas? Thanks!

does it throw a code?
if not I could think of a few reasons in this order: temp sensor (since seems to be more obvious when cold), vacuum leak, TPS, MAP, some ignition issue (check the dist cap and rotor, wires and spark plugs). I would also check the Fuel Pressure - i had a fuel return valve that was acting erratic when cold. the list could be quite extensive but i would start with these.

my 95 yj did this when I first bought.. changed plugs and wires and cap and rotor went away going on 3 1/2 years now never came back
