I dont see anyother at retain there value like the bfg...theres got to be a reason. Is there a consumer reports on these? I dont like corp ratings. Like how you see all these jeeps on the trail with 8.8s in them in jp magazine but they only want to do write ups on 44s and 60s. somebodies getting paid. just my little rant. sorry

I'm running Yokohama Geolander AT 2's and they're a good tire for an all terrain. They're pretty sticky, compared to the BFG AT's. Good road manners. Doesn't look like they'll wear anywhere near as long as the BFG AT's, but you give up something for the stickyness. Aired 'em down to 12 for rock crawling and they did fine. When it's time to replace, won't buy 'em again, just because I want Toyo MT's.

I think the Silent Armors replaced the AT/S is what the guy at goodyear told me.  I had no problems what so ever with them and they wore pretty well too.  I think I put 25-30k on them when I sold the truck and they still had plenty of tread left on them

I'm running 32-11.50-15 pro-comp at's,  I have about 8000 miles on them so far and they still look brand new, they handle great on the road, I've ran them in the rocks, dunes and in snow with 10 psi and they perform very well, there only down fall is in the sticky clay, the tread fills up fast, but if you get enough wheel spin they do clean out well, and they have a 50,000 mile tread wear warranty.

I have BFG's on my TJ and like most are saying there good tires but when they wear out I'll be going to something a size bigger and more aggressive.
On my Chevy 2500 HD 4x4 ext. (tank) I have had LT 265/75R16 (load range E) Nitto Terra Grapplers on 16x8 wheels for a couple of years now and I'm extremelly impressed with these tire, been great all around (no snow) and still show hardly any signs of wear. I got a good deal on these tires new through one of my vendors so I don't know what you could get them for but I would check them out.
They have a 265/70R16 thats a lot less ply that would work well on a Jeep and not sure if you could wear them out on something light. If they had a mud grip in smaller size's I'd be looking at them for the replacement on my TJ.

I put the GY Wrangler AT Silent Armor tires on my jeep and they have been great.  They were worth every penny.  I have had them on for a year now.
