i got a 88 2.5 want more power

im got a 88 wranger with 2.5 just looking to find some parts maybe header tb disbiter any thing that will help its goes good now just think maybe a little better mpg and power would be cool i have a hard time finding parts for a the pre 91 2.5

the pre 91 are tbi which makes them a bit different from the mpfi 91+ 2.5l... try the electric fan conversion. worked great for me. search fordmo electric fan or Taurus fan..  i think there is a writeup in the faqs

the best bet for you is to re-gear and swap the tbi for a webber. or go through the hassle of swapping over to mpi, not worth it to me. or get the redline fuel injection kit from clifford, but its $$$$. i plan on doing the webber swap as soon as other priorities settle down.

webber isn't going to be legal in all states... well the ones that are smart enough to check for a carb or efi

is it something against the weber or just carbed in general? the reason i ask is im thinking about converting in a couple months.

i had alot of toyotas and webers are good carbs but there still carbs. they will cut out and need turned all the time and ever toyot a i had a webber on got 13mpg at best. i drive my jeep around alot and get 15mpg  i think a weber would be a down grade
