Topic: Installed lift, but have issues

So I installed a 2.5" lift this weekend and from 0-25mph everything is fine, but from 25-45mph I have bad vibrations (from the rear driveshaft I believe). There is also an occasional metal on metal rubbing noise (sound like its coming from the front driveshaft?). Would installing a transfercase lowering kit eliminate these issues? Other than these 2 problems the Jeep drives really smooth. Thanks!!

There is a good chance that the transfer case drop would solve your woes.

I'd recommend a small body lift and a motor mount lift to minimize the driveline vibes.

You added a lift for taller tires. You gain ground clearance at the axles with tire size changes. The frame gains from the suspension lift. Why lift the frame and lower the crossmember off it? Lower the rear or raise the front of the driveline?

Did you check the condition of the joints in both driveshafts? You might want to replace these as well. They do wear.

you might need some angle shims as well to get the proper angle between the pinion yoke and the d/s. the lowering kit would help but i think you'd still need the shims for the rear axle.

For the metal to metal up front you might want to check the front drive
shaft against the exhaust pipe.  sometimes the clearance in very little at
best and a lot of times it rubs. 

My 4" RC lift came with shims on the rear leafs as well as the T-Case drop
brackets.  I installed them both and still have some vibes over 62 MPH on
the highway.  I would install the drop kit for now and save up the ponies
for a Slip Yoke Eliminator and also replace the double cardan drive shaft. 
This is what is needed for the best operation and no vibes in your drive shafts
due to steep angles and wear.  You can get the angles correct, after identifying
the proper pinion angles and T-Case angles, and then shimming accordingly. 
The better fix is the SYE.

x2 on sye but you still need shims, the sye won't address the angle at the pinion yoke (not much difference at 2.5'' lift but imo you still need to clock the axle).

Look for rub marks on the front driveshaft.

Post up a pic of the rear driveshaft from the side, making sure to get the pinion yoke and transfer case tailshaft in the pic.

Put some 2 inch springs on my 05' and it wore out U-joints quick until I got the spacer for transfer case. It amplified the driveline vibrations without that spacer. quick fix that worked for me.
