So, yesterday while I was waiting for my friend to pick me up to do some work, I decided I'd pull my spark plugs and see how they looked. It's been probably 15K+ since I swapped them, and I don't exactly baby the squirrels so I've been meaning to get around to that...
Well, evidently it was time... Because 3 of 4 cracked when I went to pull 'em
I'm guessing it was because of heat fatigue? the electrodes didn't have much life left either... So I decided to check the rotor as well, and when I pulled it off some little spring and electrode thing fell out of it as well
So on the way home from working we stopped and I picked up plug/wires/cap/rotor, and the old girl runs MUCH better now. Starts faster, sounds better in the higher r's, and it doesn't feel as sluggish at 55+
I think it was time, lol
