I started thinking about a new set of tires for summer. They will have a different requirement then my winter/hunting tires, no frozen mud etc. Durring the summer the Yj gets driven mainly on paved, dirt, and gravel roads with some light sand and dirt trails. Primative campground type areas. I currently have Dunlap mud tires and would like to save them from the road except durring hunting season. I will also be pulling one of two trailers with it aprox 250# to 1000#s. I need to stay with a 32 or 33 because of gearing but want to know if going skinny would be better. My Jeep gets used more like an "expedition" type vehicle than rock crawler or mud bogger. I would like to hear from those that have run the 33x10.50x15 or 33x9.50x15 size tires. My Yj is not a daily driver so I would also like to keep cost of these down. I have a set of stock steel rims off the wife's TJ that these will be mounted on.
