Topic: Can i use Power Plus BBK 1991-2003 Jeep 4.0L throttle body

Hi Readers/Helpers,

I have a 2000 jeep tj 2.5. i am considering a 4.0 liter throttle body, but instead of getting a used stock one, i was wondering if i could use
BBK 1991-2003 Jeep 4.0L throttle body on my 2.5 to gain extra hp. i am also considering a poweraid TB spacer.

i suppose you said yes to both to a bbk 4.0 liter throttle body in
conjunction with a poweraid TB spacer for a 4.0 liter engine which would both fit on
my jeep 2.5. kindly correct if i am wrong.
i am going for bbK TB because it says it would give more hp than the stock
4.0 TB,

Yes to both.  The poweraid spacer will NOT allow you to take advantage of the large bore of the 62mm throttle body as the poweraid is smaller than 62mm and will be the bottleneck in your system.  I offer a 62mm spacer along with a 62mm throttle body substantially cheaper than bbk.  Mine is a remanufactured OEM throttle body and not a new casting like what the bbk appears to be.

I also believe the helix bore of the poweraid to be a gimmick, the helix is at almost a right angle to the airflow and the airflow is just too fast for the helix to have any positive affect.
