98 2.5 long block into 89 Comanche?
« on: March 15, 2011, 11:44:32 AM »
I have an 89 Comanche with a 2.5 that needs to be replaced.

I want to swap in a 2.5 long block out of a 98 wrangler. I plan to use the 89 TBI setup, distributor, water pump, oil pan and pick up tube.

Will this work? Are the bell housing bolt patterns the same for these two motors? Any other issues I may run into?
