Finally "done" messing around with the comanche for a while and decided it was time to track down the noise in my YJ. Rattling that is worse at idle, in time with the rpms. It appears that it is just one bad lifter. Took off the valve cover and ran it for a while, pressing on the pushrod side of each rocker arm until I found the one that I could feel the slop on. I hope that is all it was, just need to pick up $40 worth of new lifters and a gasket tommorrow.
