Broken sway bar link
« on: February 13, 2007, 05:25:38 AM »
I found a broken front sway bar link.  I tried to take them off but am having trouble getting them off the sway bar.

Is there something that needs to be done to the top of the link to come off the sway bar?  And yes the bolt is off.

There is about 106000 miles on these links.  Do I just need a hammer to knock them off?

Thanks,

James

I found a broken front sway bar link.
Both of my front pulled out of the sockets at around 60k.

The stem is tapered and will be real tight in the sway bar once bolted in. Spray with some pb blaster, support the sway bar from the underside and hammer it out!!
