looking in the york or harisburg area.Are the any good trails in this area? Also I am a union sheet metal worker does anyone know how construction is in that area?Any advice would be great thank you.

I live about 90 minutes north (Wilkes-Barre area) of where you're talking about so I don't really know about the construction industry there. However, trail wise you have Rausch Creek Off Road Park in Camp Hill and Paragon Adventure Park in Hazleton... if they're still up and running.

Best bet for this would be call your Lo. office, have them look up the number for the Lo. your looking to move, then call them how it is, I'm not sure how your Lo. works, but if its like mine and you have to sign the Books, ask how many people are on the books. I did this for the area I was looking to move, and decided against it since union work was very little to non existent.

Pa has vehicle inspections and I believe for those areas also emissions inspections too. 
I believe only 1 inch of tread is allowed to be beyond your fender flare fyi.
Most are not terribly hard core, but there are alot of trails on state game lands
that are open to 4x4 vehicles, alot are getting gated though, but at least they are free
and are really fun to find, provided you like working with maps.

Paragon and Raush are a BLAST, but Paragon may not exist much longer...

I can tell you that where i live (near Penn State) there arent many construction jobs. i do heavy equipment jobs. most of the work is in the harrisburg area. word to the wise, stay far away from york city living. very high crime. good luck in the move. they have a local jeep club there jeepsrus.org

Thanks for the info I will continue to keep check things out There is aroud $9.80 differance on the check form my local to the centeral PA. local thats hard to walk away from.Again thanks for any info.
