Hey guys,

Got a little rust on my Jeep, nothing serious but I'd like to sort it out this summer. I'm just wondering if you guys know of a good DIY online. I've looked up a few, but they all give a little bit of a different story every time.

Their using the wrong terminology, glazing putty is for window repairs. You want to use bondo or evercoat to fill in any pitting or dings after the rust removal.

I know you're talking about body panels but this works good for smaller parts that can be removed from the Jeep.

You may also want to consider a rust converter.  There is one you can get at Wal-Mart that I have used and works well.  The one that is always mentioned is POR-15 but I have no experience with it.

I don't have any problems getting my hands dirty. They aren't large rust spots, so I think I can file them and add some paint. I just don't know the whole process and what the right stuff is to use.
