Here's the deal, have a 95 yj that i just recently smashed up and now it won't spark, the ignition system fuse under hood by the battery was blown, replaced it but nothing, hope its not the computer cause i just had it rebuilt last year but it was the samething then it wouldn't spark, so i went through everything couldn't figure it out, sent the computer to get rebuilt plugged it in and it fired right up, wondering if theres anything else i could check or test like sensors or something, what about the crank case position sensor, how would i test that

I think with YJs you can do the key thing to get diagnostic codes.  You'll need to turn the ignition to the "ON" position 3 times (without starting the Jeep), on the thrid time leave it on and the "Check Engine" light should start flashing.  If I'm not mistaken the slow flashes are the first number, the fast flashes are the second number.  So if you have 5-slow flashes, and 5 fast flashes, that's a code 55, which means everything is OK.

I had  simular problem i drove my 90 yj into work got in it four hr's later and it wouldn't hit a lick, It was the crank posisioning sensor, as far as testing a sensor like that I have no idea I just elimenated each thing that would cause it not to fire. Distributor (rotor button ect.) coil, fuses and relay's and finally the cps sensor, I had the same fear about the computer.
The "process of elimination" can be very aggrivating but helpful tool!

Don't misunderstand what I am saying, I didn't replace every thing untill something worked, The reason I thought it was that sen was the amount of oil that was on it.
