Good site to know, I'd also like to know the laws on tire size and tire overhang from the fenders per state. The state does not put it out because they don't like when people are obeying the law, they make no money.

Here in PA it's not to bad. Even if your not within spec you won't get harassed unless your driving like a lunatic...for the most part. Their are a lot of guys who are way out of bounds but don't get sited because they take it easy on the skinny peddle and keep their Jeeps quiet.

i'm in pa and my jeep is really loud and still no one cares,  by the way the pa one is wrong on the site,  it is 36" front and back,  if you consider a jeep a truck,  other wise i think it is 20 something,  i would have to check my book.

I'm not sure PA considers the Jeep a truck. My plate isn't labeled as such... at least I don't think it is. I'll have to check. I checked PENDOT's site and couldn't find any info regarding the lift laws here. What kind of book do you have and where can I get one? I wouldn't mind having that sort of info at my disposal.

I have lived in Idaho my whole life and have never heard of anyone getting in trouble for a lift, no matter how high.  I think most of the cops are into off road as much as anyone, what else do we have to do??

the book i am referring to is the inspection guide.  you have to be a state certified inspector to get one.  my bumper is at 32"  but i just consider it a truck and sticker mine.  unless you call attention to yourself most shops and cops don't care.  i never did remember to check my book and see what it says,  but 30 sounds about right.  i just now mine is over but i just call it a truck.  technically it is a 1/4 ton truck.
