upper door slider question
« on: March 31, 2008, 11:47:27 PM »
id like to replace the soft top uppers with sliding glass. all the ones ive seen online (quadratec/ebay) seem to provide less of a view than the soft top windows-by this i mean there seems to be less glass then the soft top. ive seen jeeps with sliding windows that are larger than the ones offered by quadratec and therfor the visibility is better. does anyone know what company makes them? i found one online but the link was dead. what im basically looking for are the sliding uppers with the most amount of glass.
thanks

I know I've seen some larger glass sliders. I think they could be on JC Whitney...I'll try and find out where I saw them.

I have the best top sliders and I have rarely noticed a lack of visibility.  I don't know if they are the largest windows but, i like them.  ;)

I have the Bestop sliders on my YJ and I don't notice any lack of visibility, and all winter long I had a half top, with CJ style mirrors and a blanket covering the back window.

I have the smaller window slider and visibility is excellent.  When I remove the upper slider and just drive with the lower hard door vs the small sliders I can not tell the difference visibility wise.  Ultimately; if it is the same price go with your choice, but if the cost is more them weight it out.

Visibility is not compromised therefore you can decide if what you really want is worth the extra cash or there of it.
