dont know how picky you are but i bought a generic intake off of e-bay for $40 basically 3'' mandrel bent polished alimunum tubing and a cheap filter.. then i bought a k&n filter that would fit it from truckperformance.com $36.00 plus a dry charger for off road $25.00 ad  i am fabbing up a heat/splash shield from and old diamond plate tool box $free let me know if you want to go that way and need part numbers

hows it running so far? i did happen to come across this performance kit from turbo city for $530.95 which includes...
-a rock-it air tube (fits 2 5/8" or 2 3/4" filter)
-universal hi flow filter
-3/8" tbs for 2.5, 4.0 and the installation kit
-magaflow muffler w/ 2.5" pipes
any opinions on this?

Another idea is to get a 4.0 intake and replace the box with a cone.  Don't know if it has been done or if it would even help but realy the only thing I noticed from my rockit parts intake is alittle flatter torque curve.  If I would ever go with a snorkel or have to put the factory intake back on that is what I would do

that kit doesnt sound bad but i would shop around first and see if you can put it together cheaper.. dont know peoples opinions on this but i bought a dynomax cat back system from jegs for $129 it flows fine and doesnt sound bad either it took some gettin used to after driving a v-8 with flow masters but its not bad...if you can buy a hi performance cat or just......
it made a big difference on mine..let me know if you need part #s if you decide to make your own k&n intake. im no expert but i woud assume runing pipe all the way to the tb is better than just replacing the box..so far i have a little under $300 invested in the exhaust and intake.
