gear pattern
« on: May 31, 2008, 10:18:40 PM »
Hey just wanted some opinions on this gear pattern. hoping i am done with this project but wanted some thoughts fromt hose of you more experienced with gear installation.
This is an xj dana 44 with yukon 4.88 gears and yukon master install set.
pinion preload 16inch lbs
backlash .008
dont remember the shim packs
i am thinking that the pattern looks to be centered face to flank as well as heel to toe on both drive and coast sides of the teeth with nice oval footprints, but want to make sure this is done right so that i dont grenade that nice expensive arb locker!
thanks

forgot to mention that the pattern in blue is the one you should look at. ran out of the yellow gear marking compound and had to use prussian blue.
thanks again
