Not true on the TJ. Front drive shaft spins all the time so unless you remove it you got to regear both axles.

Doesn't matter, you can still run two different ratios with the 231 transfer case as long as you don't engage 4wd.

Thanks. I might do both and just sale the axles w/gears after I swap axles.
