Installed an MSD Blaster SS Coil today

Finally picked up a new coil today. It was $49.15 after tax at Kragen, not as cheap as the internet or other coils, but I just wanted to get the coil and be done with it  :pirate:

Took about 30 minutes to install after looking for a mounting screw I almost lost  :rant: But it worked out pretty well, mounted it right on the firewall next to the valve cover.

I've only driven it down the road and back so far, but it seems to have made a difference. Starts are quicker and it sounds much healthier/throatier at higher RPM's. I can really feel a difference from about 3800-5000, it has a bit of a kick right around 3800 and definitely climbs from 40-60 a little quicker.

I'll report back tomorrow after I drive it a bit more to see how much of a difference it makes. I'll be making a short highway trip (30 min) to go hang out with some friends tonight so tha should be a good test  :smokes:

Well I ended up staying in town last night so I haven't gotten a chance to see how it is on the highway, but it definitely runs smoother just cruising around town, and the gas gauge already seems to be moving just a bit slower  :smokes: Headed out to do a couple hours worth of work this morning so I'll get to see how it does on a short highway trip

Well after a good amount of driving today, I can say it was definitely worth the $$$. I'll have to do some more driving before I know the true MPG gains, but driveability is definitely better. Cruising around town it feels much smoother at low speeds especially 30-40 MPH running 4th gear. Both in town and on the highway, up to about 65-70, I can tell my foot is in the throttle a little less than before adding the coil which is a good sign  :smokes: And with the engine running smoother, my exhaust is a bit quieter at highway speeds, which makes me happy  :hump:
