The problems of inexperience + a built Jeep...

The problems of inexperience + a built Jeep... it makes you feel like you have an indestructible rig (but we all know that is not the case!).

I was browsing youTube and found this, and I thought I should share it...  Good editing, by the way (terrible brain use by the driver, but good editing none the less!).

Well it didnt roll!

Young dumb kids, have no clue of what can happen to them when driving like idiots.

When I was 19 I was coming back from surfing in San Diego with a couple of buddies and along  Interstate 15 in the Lake Elsinore area I was ran off the road by another car and my 3 month old Toyota Tacoma and I went into the large dirt median and proceded to roll 5 times!

I dont remember the jaws of life ripping my door off to pull me out or much of anything (except the shattered Humerous, broken hand, forearm and dislocated shoulder and to many other things to list) but even though it wasnt my fault and by all accounts i should be dead, I gained a new respect for vehicles and what damage they can cause!  Maybe that's why I get a little sqwimish when i'm off camber?

Those 2 kids are lucky they didnt roll!
Building this Jeep on the Cheap! Just like Chrysler!

To be honest, I have to admit to being one of the stupid kids; I guess like every other 17 year old out there, I thought I was indestructible, and the bad things always happend to the "other" kids...  I guess I was just simply lucky enough to survive...  And while my stupidity ussually did not extend to motor vehicles, I AM lucky to be alive as well...

Now, the stupidity I have seen is not limited to young kids, unfortunately; I have seen inesperienced adults as well think their ride is indestructible just because they have a lift, big tires and some armor.  How many times have you seen someone try to jump on a Jeep?  Unless you actually built your Jeep for that purpose (and even then, you are taking it to its limits and it is bound to fail at some point, so you need to take secondary measures - like healmets, 5 point harness, etc. - to avoid injury), there is only so much the Jeep will take...
