So just a tip.
I've helped and done quite a few gear setups and I find that if I keep
all the shims from the carrier as they were, I can trade the ring and
pinions all day long and they will need almost no adjustment. It seems
like all the slop is in the diff housing so as long as you keep those shim
sets organized you just change the gear pair and your good enough most of the time.
If you can find a copy of the Dana Setup manual or get the one from
Yukon Gear it takes a lot of the mystery out of all of it.
