Murcury electric fan swap
« on: December 12, 2009, 12:17:22 AM »
Just wondering if anyone knows a little about he Mercury Villager vans. There's a fan I was looking at that looks great to swap in.
It also has some Nissan parts. I think it's also known as a Nissan Quest (no idea, really)

I have a 17" elec fan I was going to throw in to my 97 4cyl tj.  Wondering how I was going to do it without a matching shroud. ...then I found this mercury fan. Looks like it'll match right up, perfect size.

Just no idea about the CFM, etc. The various info I should have.

Pretty sure it'll cool my 4 banger! Still, would like to know anything anyone can throw at me.

Thanks!

if the shroud matches the rad size (or close) you'll be fine - did you take measurements and some pics (dunno anything about this particular fan) - the lincoln mk VIII fits the best the wrangler rad, Taurus is the second, although the lincoln one is overkill as far as CFM goes for the 4 banger. See the pic in my sig for how the lincoln fits the rad.
