95 2.5L exhaust manifold studs
« on: March 28, 2011, 12:14:48 AM »
I was wondering if someone could tell me or point me in the right direction as to what to torque the front and rear exhaust studs to?  All info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Cody

bolt 1: 30 ftlb
bolts 2 to 5: 23 ftlb
nuts 6 and 7: 23 ftlb

bolt 1 is the center bolt, the other ones are numbered alternately (right/left) moving out from the center.

Thanks, I know the sequence but did not know to torque bolt #1 to 30 and not 23.  Also do you torque the STUDS or just put them in the head and when you put the manifold on and torque the nut it torques the STUD as well??

Thanks again

I would just put them in by hand but I can't tell you what the proper procedure is.
