U-joint bolts keep coming loose. What's up?
« on: September 21, 2006, 10:20:51 AM »
This is the second time I felt a vibration, check the U-bolt strap bolts to find them loose. What do I have to do to keep them tight? Should they have lock washers on them?

First you shouldn't overtighten them.  This is one of the main reasons for driveshaft failure. They only need something like 14ftlbs, I think. (check FSM)  Then put blue locktight on them.
