check if the distributor is timed correctly (i think you swapped it, right?)

the spark signal is given by the crank position sensor but if the cam position sensor (the one in the distributor) is out of sequence (which is 1 signal for every 2 rotations of the crank) the PCM will cut out the spark.

also check all the connectors and make sure they are plugged in all the way. also check the 12v at the coil, make sure is getting voltage.

if you read the other thread you posted in (not started by you 91 into a 97 or something like that) both the cam sensor and distributor between 95 and 97 were listed as the same p/n so that should do it (no need to change it). Plugs have nothing to do with the cam sensor in the distributor though.

If it was me i would swap yours in just to make sure, but otherwise they should be the same

I checked with a spark plug tester and screwdriver close to the block and coil wire same way
Also the Haynes book states crank sensor in tranny only in 4.0 and 2.4 but there's one in mine
I'm thinking I may have damaged it putting engine in have to check that

haynes is useless for the most part especially when it comes to MPFI. If you damaged the crank sensor then you won't have spark indeed.
check the spark on the wire coming out of the coil first not the plug wires, that way you eliminate the cap and rotor from the equation. Also, have someone else crank it when you check for spark, see if you get a couple of sparks first and then it goes away. crank sensor is a good place to start though.

I swaped the stator plate in disb no change took out crank sensor and just wipeed it off it looked ok put it back in and started right up .  yea    but I am confused on this water pump thing stupid haynes book shows water pump rotation one way with serpentine belt and states rev is stamped on housing but mine is not stamped I do belive it's rotating is the right direction.    also thanks to all for help and thank you sharpxmen

belt routing is different on the 95 YJ compared to 97 TJ. I thought they are different rotation but someone mentioned that is only on XJ that is different but the Wrangler is the same (that was BountyHunter, maybe he can confirm), something to look into at least, if the fan is the same (as far as rotation to pull air thru the radiator, more specifically the orientation of the blades) then they rotate the same way, if they don't then you'd need to swap the pumps (the only way they would rotate opposite would be if the routing around the crank pulley from/to the waterpump is on opposite sides).

Water pump is turning the right way  engine up to temp and thermostat opens and I think I got it , also for anyone that is swapping engines listen to these guys and swap everythhing off your engine as I had to. my oil gauge did not work with the new engines sending unit  so i swaped it and coolant sensor. they looked like they were the same.
