I would love to make option A work. The EDIS is a good fall back plan though, I just don't want to have to change that many things from stock.
I LOVE building electronic devices, so you can bet I'll take plenty of pics while I build it and offer them up to anyone who wants them. I'm doing as much research as my brain can handle right now to catch up on the theory and design principals I'll need to developed/sharpen to meet this challenge.
Wrangler 387, do keep in touch if you find that the other people you know who are re-writing their thermfactor.inc and their airdenfactor.inc files to allow them to use the stock jeep MAP and CTS sensors. I really didn't want to ditch mine for GM units unless I really had to! I'll look into what I'll have to do to get the MS to work with my stock stuff for timing advance. To cheat for now though, do you know what I'll need to setup the MS to just handle fuel delivery, not spark, on these 2.5l's. I know I won't be able to use the stock ECU to control my distributor anymore, so what would be an easy fix for the time being (like an old vacuum/weight advanced GM HEI distributor or something, just to get the FI working with the MS)?
