That's the one with the 90* bend.  Dirt gets in the bend then dries out the hose.

Yup, that's the one.  I had to use a slightly larger one (3/8 IIRC) so that it would fit the filter (IIRC, the regular hose is 5/16).  I used two of those tightners (the little "belt" that you screw on to tighten; what are those called in English, anyway???)
