Best deals on Replacement parts
« on: November 26, 2013, 10:04:48 AM »
Just thought i'd be listing parts I needed and found online (and purchased some) for others in case they need the same thing. No second hand, junkyard or pick and pull items. Feel free to add your own. Price rounded (no decimals)
Format

<link>
(<other comments>)

 - Starter [new] AC Delco 337-1088 $79 Amazon [same or lower price as a reman]
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007QBTRGO/ref=oh_details_o08_s01_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

 - Ignition coil [new] ACCEL 140021 $48 Amazon [+3kV over stock]
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GVFCBU/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

 - Thermostat 180F [new] MOTORAD 2000-180 $8 Amazon [high flow]
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000C5I7W6/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

 - Brake Master Cylinder for '95 Dual Diaph booster [new] ACDelco 18M772 $54 [same price as reman w/o core, with res]
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000C9HQBK/ref=oh_details_o01_s01_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
(for the ones looking at doing the dual-diaphragm booster conversion, only '95 4.0L models came with it, I got mine at P&P, the booster can be had reman for about $98 reman at Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Cardone-54-73153-Remanufactured-Power-Booster/dp/B000C459DM/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1385487799&sr=1-1&keywords=CARDONE+Part+%23+5473153)

 - Water Pump [new] Bosch 97118 $28 Amazon [new, same price as reman]
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BZJMUS/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

 - Water Pump Inlet Tube [new] Dorman 56398 $11 Amazon [old ones are often rusted]
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001C6JCU0/ref=oh_details_o01_s01_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

 - Idler Pulley [new] Dorman 419-602 $12 Amazon [good price, maybe? - about $20 at the local autoparts store]
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003SZ3GK0/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

these are the ones i bought overtime from Amazon (went into my order history which makes it easy) and have not changed price, for example i bought a lower engine gasket set for $23 2 years ago and now it is $33 - i didn't list that one, i'll try and dig other purchases from 4wd or Quadratec and list what i find if I think they're good deals (some are just normal price so no point in that)

Not 100% sure but I believe the 94/95 started is the small motor high torque unit and the earlier ones are the bigger old style starter. My 94 has one of the small permanent magnet motors on it.. Like a mean green form the factory... :)

you are correct, the 94-95 is the smaller style, same rating though as earlier models at 1.4kW
