I was a member who read a whole lot of posts on this site over the last couple years yet I never posted a thing. My name is Mike. I am a Wyoming Tech Grad who no longer works on cars professionally nor did I for very long. My last project was a 95 twin turbo supra with 500hp. I sold it and turned to my Jeep for fun. I have had a babied 94 YJ 2.5l 5spd Wrangler S for ten years or so (only 87k miles). It was completely stock until I found this site. I have a "bounty" throttle body and spacer. I bored out the intake to match. I put a MSD coil on it with Performance Distributors Live Wires, Cap, and Rotor. I play around with spark plugs and have used E3, champion platinum, and Bosch Platinum with different gaps. I have installed a 160 amp alt and die hard platinum battery. I have done the stock intake restriction mods. I did the electronic fan modification with the delta controller attached to a all aluminum radiator. I got a magnaflow cat with a walker muffler. I use AMSoil differential gear lube and oil. I put Redline mt 90 in the tranny and mobil one synthetic ATF in the transfer case. I use EBC sport rotors and green stuff pads for the front brakes....it stops on a dime. I dropped the tranny and installed a exedy clutch kit, on my back, by myself in 10 degree weather! I have also had to take the head off and get a broken exhaust bolt out of it. While out I had the head degreased and resurfaced. I threw new hoses, water pump, and thermostat at it during this project.
It runs great and all from reading the advice at 4bangerjp. The reason I have never posted was because alot of people may not approve of what I am using my Jeep for
I don't wheel with it, I plow snow with it. It has air shocks on all fours, winter tires 235 75 15, a western front plow, a daniels rear plow, and a lot of rust preventative maintenance! I do the unthinkable-plow snow with a manual, 4 cylinder Jeep and get it done in the half of the time most others do. I love my Jeep. I thank all of you who have provided good information and write ups on their projects/mods.
