Hey Kids,
I guess its my turn to introduce myself.  I am only in my twenties and have been off-roading since I was 16.  My first vehicle was a bronco that my friends and I lovingly called "the ice cream truck", as I lived in southern AZ and had no AC, that I paid 400 bucks cash for and drove into the ground on more than one occassion.  I moved to UT and got an economical car that I have had for less than one year, and I want to rip the hair outta my head.  I have decided to get a 4 cyl jeep and start rough housing again.  I am still looking for my rig as I have only decided just recently to make the switch back from fuel efficient sissy to master of runnin crap over again.  Any help with questions I have would be greatly appreciated.  Try and be patient, as I know nothing of jeeps but am ready to learn.

Hey Ya'll
I've got a 95 YJ 2.5w/5spd.; 4" lift,K&N,; 30X10.5 & 33X12.5. Crawl inthe San Juan Triangle,Ark., Mo., and Tx. I hate Mud, give me some rocks and clear water streams and I'm good to go. Love it when I hear my wife say Don't get to close to the edge, and watch out for that rock. Kids are grown so Daddy and Mom go play.

:guns: HI all!!! My name is Clinton. My Fiance and I live in south east AZ. My Intrest in JP'n was sparked by my uncle and his Scrambler wheelin the creeks and cruisin 10 or 15 miles to the next town, doorless just to get a soda, when i was a young'n. I bought my first jeep near the end of last year. I had been looking into new rigs but was discouraged by the thought of spending 25 to 30k on a ride with warranties that would quickly be voided as i build. BIG John fount a black '88 yj on 31x12.5's and eagle aloys, 4 squirrls and a 5 speed.  8) The grey soft top has seen better days but the aluminum treadplate lowers shine. in the few short months since, it has taken Janessa and myself to some of the local natural and manmade wonders. A tune-up, USB deck 400watt alpine mono amp TMA 12, and sony replacements in the soundbar and dash, a new  slave cylender, and custom Spectre intake tube and filter have kept us motor'n

Hey everyone I'm Dirk. I'm 19 and a college student at Western Michigan University. I bought my first Jeep, a 1990 YJ. It was a 2.5L and I am currently restoring it. I'm going to need all the help I can get! I'm pretty excited to be part of the elite group of vehicle owners that are Jeepers!

Hi everyone I'm new to the forum, and just bought my second jeep. It's a :beers: :beers: 95 yj in need of some  love so that's what I'm doing right now. Repairing all the abuse it's been through before I got a hold of it. This weekend I'm putting poison spyder full rear corners on it to hide the damage done to the driver side rear. Hopefully I will have it nicely built by the end of the year. I just need to figure out how to squeeze more power out of the lil 4banger..

Hi everyone. My name is John and I live in central Indiana. I just joined 4banger and am glad to be here. I thought I may learn a few things and be able to help some also. I have owned three Jeeps, a XJ, ZJ and now a TJ that I have had for five years. I have many modifications to the TJ and many more to do (its a Jeep thing you would understand) LOL. It is a 1997 Wrangler SE 2.5 with automatic transmission. Here is a list of mods done so far. A pro comp stage 2, 4" suspension lift, 15x8 1069 xtreme alloy wheels, 33x12.50 pro comp Xterrain tires, a new radiator, 180 degree stainless steel thermostat, flex-a-lite electric fan, poweraid throttle body spacer, AEM brute force cold air intake, Jet powertech stage 2 performance chip ( requires premium gas ) rebuilt automatic transmission. I have done all the mods myself but the tranny and the lift. The jeep runs great, and will hold its own next to a 4.0 and it has not been regeared yet. Anyway glad to be here. Thanks

Time to introduce myself.  I have owned 4 jeeps.  My first a 79 cj-5 304v-8 3 spd,  62 Willy's cj-5 f-134 3spd with factory pto winch, 86 cj-7 4.2l 5 spd, 99 Wrangler 2.5l 5 speed.  I have never lifted a jeep and prefer to run the largest tire that will fit stock.  Most of my offroading is done on our farm property or on my lease property.  With 31's I just have to pick my lines better and stay out of the deep stuff.  I personially consider the 2.5 almost a wonder motor.  My Wrangler has better power at 60 than my cj-7 did.  My last tank of gas was 18.8mpg driving only to and from work 11.3 miles one way.  My mods are Rusty's Cold air and throttle body spacer (1mpg increase).  Bored out throttle body.  Did this one myself.  That is the advantages of being a shop teacher.  I only opened it up to 56mm.  I didn't want to chance damage it.  My boring bar was rather large and almost came into contact with the butterfly anyway.  Just completed on Friday.  I have not ran a full tank through it yet.  I also have had my students make me custom front and rear bumpers out of 2x4 square tubing.  Front is plain and rear has a welded in reciever hitch.  Well that pretty much my life story.

Hello all.

I'm Matt, the proud owner of a beat up, rough running 99 TJ with the "little engine that could."  I recently became a father and purchased a 06 Liberty to carry my little girl around in.  This has given me the chance to work on getting my TJ fixed up and I found these forums while looking for some information.  I look forward to learning alot about my four banger and hopefully sharing with you all the progress I make in getting her back to her old form.
