Hello every one! Im Rocko and I'm from Norway, Illinois; its really close to Marseilles Insane Terraine which I am excited about even tho I have not gone to yet. But I plan to this summer. I own a 1994 Yj. I bought it used with a 2" lift, 31" Mud Kings, and all sort of goodie and baddies. Im still discovering things. But it has a 4 banger with a 5 speed and four wheel drive of course. I allready broke stuff (go me) like a tail gate. So yea nice to meet everyone and if you want to know more don't be afraid to ask.

 My name is Rick and I'm from north east Ohio, I'm the proud owner of a 97 TJ Se since 2000, wouldn't trade it for nothing.

Here's a little list of what I have done since ownership

the motor

2.5 as it come from the factory ie: stock bore stock cam has 102k on it as of today 4/3/09
4.0 throttle body and spacer
K&N filter
stage 2 jet chip
4.0 air intake
pacesetter header
axed the cat when it went bad  :nono: but its a off road only vehicle... any way keep your comments to yourself on this
axed the muffler at the same time and replaced it with a flowmaster
accel coil
electric fan
24# injectors

With these mods it will run down the highway in 5th gear at 65 on 33 ltb's when it had 4:11 gears, and very rarely have to drop to 4th but like I said its not for that anymore.

Futre mods to the motor are going to be
.060 bore
cam around .480 lift 216 duration at .050
Stoked, been working on this for a while, It will happen, I have some free time the next few weeks to do some testing.
Port work, basic clean up for the most part
of course the rest of the stuff to go with thes mods new bearing seals gaskets, bla bla bla...

Suspension

6" full traction long arm kit
sky wacker nitro shock, cheaped out on these, thinking of doing coil overs in the near future.
2" body lift
36 x 13.50 15 bias irok's

drive train
Dana 35 rear with super 35 kit and 4:56 gears
Dana 30 front tru-trac and 4:56 gears
231 j mega short sye 1 1/4 chain 6 gear planetary
ax5 waiting to self distruct

interior
600w sony xplode 7 speaker sound system
neo seat covers
1200w inverter
tool box and cooler mount
axed the back seat and belts
grab handles

exterior
smitty built rock bumpers
tree bars
corner covers
rocker guards
light guards
solid doors
Bestop Bikini
wind jamer
and bed cover/Duster

I think thats about it, hate to admit to my self how long that list has gotten, actually this is the first time I have set and made of list of what all has been done... anyhow hope to have some fun here, I've spent the last few days looking around at what you guys have done and it seems like a pretty good group. I hope you welcome me, I have been on a few other forums but didn't care for all the just put a chevy in it/ hostal wtf you doing that for crap.... so here i am, be it as it may 4bangin away!

Only thing I'd discourage is the super 35 kit! A stock 8.8 or 44 will be stronger, cheaper, and more upgradeable than a super turdy kit.

Otherwise, I'll keep an eye on your build!

honestly i have 475 in the entire rear with disk brakes.....the stock rear held up untill this yr with 33's still wasn't broke, just felt it time to upgrade. I'm more worried about the front end. I have a 44 front and rear at some point I'll build those "as I find deals on parts", but in the mean time this setup will get me a season or 2.

Hello everyone,

My name is Chuck and my son is Tony.  We found this site through Jeepforum.com.

Our rig is a '95 Rio Grande w/ Dana 30/35, 4:10 gears, 4 angry squirrels w/ 163k miles on them, 33x12.5x15 Cepek Crushers on Cragar Black 10 hole steel rims, and a WHOLE BUNCH of little fixes and repairs along the way.

We bought the truck last year as a "good first car" for my son who turned 16 at the end of 2008.  Over the last year we've had the body redone, purchased a soft top and bikini top, put on a used 2.5" Rancho lift w/ Rancho RSX shocks, and performed numerous repairs and component replacements to get this truck back in reliable running order.

I just picked up a '91 YJ that I'm starting to work on.  This will be a family toy, so no crazy mods for now.  I've already started working on updating the interior with new seat covers, center console and basic cleaning.  New shocks on order and I'm getting new tires this weekend.  Hope it's going to stay warm enough to drop the top for the summer.

Hi, my name is Charles. I have a 91 YJ with a 2.5L. It has a SOA with 33's. This is my second 4x4 project, I had a 89 S10 blazer with a solid axle swap that I performed myself. I scrapped it for my YJ that I got for 500.00, it had a locked up engine. I live in the baltimore area, have 3 kids an exwife, and a girlfriend. My jeep is my escape. I'm a mechanic by trade.

Hey everyone the name's Dawn and I live in Winnipeg, MB. I own a 1995 YJ Rio Grande that I bought from my bf (flyingbrick) about a year ago. 5 spd, 4" suspension lift, custom mounted seats from a 03 Ranger, half doors with a soft top, haven't done much mods to it but I plan to when the funds and time become available. I'm here to learn as much as I can about wheelin and Jeeps and some tips and tricks.

Howdy from the Pacific NorthWEST. I bought my TJ almost 2years ago. Bought it pretty much stock, except for the 2" B.B.. Since then I have added custom sliders designed by me and fabbed by a buddy. Smittybilt XR8, Modded stock front bumper. Daystar/ Four Real Steel rear bumper. TeraFlex Flexarm SA kit, Teraflex Adj front Track Bar, Teraflex Belly Up, R.E. 4.5 Springs,  SYE/ Tom Woods CV Shaft, Full Traction Monos on the back and Rancho 5000's hydro's front, Russel Braided brake lines, Custom 2row Aluminum Radiator, JKS Quicker Discos. 32x11.50x15 BFG M/T'S. Re-gearing soon and a d44 in the rear. Thinking of going OX Lockers front and rear at re-gear time 4:88's. Corbeau seats and 4pnt harnesses. Tire swing out  (my design).  33's  There's more I just can't think of it right now.

Hey,
I confess,
I don't own a jeep, yet...  It is my biggest desire, and shall be my first vehicle. I am 16 and just wanted to hear what some people thought about the jeep 4 bangers. I am still trying to decide between YJ and TJ with my limited funds...

Thanks, and this forum rocks!

Hi every one.
I am so glad I found this site! Me and my chick have a 2000 SE 5speed with
55000mi on it. I have all ready learned so much from this site. As we all
know performance part are a pita to find for the 4 cylinder , but now I know what I
can do to her. We do off road but it needs some work, Locker and stuff like that.
I am more of a GM guy so it will take me time to get the Jeep lingo down.

Hello All....Newbie to this forum.  Have 2 Wranglers, a 90 and a 93.  Both 4 bangers, 5 speed, soft tops.  This is your typical His and Hers kind of deals.  Bought the 90 for wife, fixed it, then realized I wouldn't mind having one of these jewels myself.  Found the 93 with a bad tranny ( imagine that!!!), rebuilt the tranny, and love driving it.  Don't use them for wheeling, use them for for convertibles, running around locally.  Hope I can contribute what little knowledge I have to anyone needing it.
