Hey everybody, I'm John. I have a 91 YJ 4 banger 5 speed soft top. I don't know a thing about Jeeps so hopefully you guys can help me. I bought it a couple of months ago for $4500. The only mods I know of are the wheels and tires. It has Mickey Thompson bead locks and 31.5 Pro Comp tires.

I'll probably ask a bunch of questions so be prepared ;)

Hello all. My name is Bill my wife is Melody and we are a two Jeep family. I have a '95 YJ I've had since it was new in Jan '96. Melody has a '99 TJ we just got a couple months ago. For a whopping total of 8 angry squirrels living in our driveway. (Maybe I could fit both engines inline in one vehicle) ???. Melody was a Police Officer in New Jersey until she was injured on the Job and retired now she is working as a teachers Assistant and going back to school. I am a New York City fireman currently on active duty military leave with the Army assigned to the 10th Mountain Division in upstate New York. I was injured during a wonderful vacation to Persia and I am going through the process to be medically retired. I do not have any idea how this will affect my return to FDNY. I really don't know what will happen next; just trying to roll with the punches. If I didn't have bad luck I wouldn't have any at all. We also have a 6 year old son who is great. I have really enjoyed this site and have been getting great ideas and advice. I am really looking forward to more projects in order to squeeze every bit I can from these fun vehicles.
Thanks to all of you.
Bill

Hi

I'm on my second JP.  JP #1 was blue 93 wrangler sport auto with 4.0. 4inch black diamond lift, 33 inch general MTs and warn m 8000 winch.  While owning this I was a member of the ocala jeep club in the late 90's.  Lost my common sense and traded it for sports car.  Huge mistake car was a real  :flush:  I currently own a red 94 yj 2.5 ax5, 4 inch procomp lift, 3 inch bl, 35inch bfg at's and my trusty old warn m8000.  I currently belong to the Citrus County Jeep club in florida.  Great group of jeepers :thumb:  I have only wheeled in florida but would love to hit some of the OHV parks in the other states and make the pilgrimage to Easter Jeep Safari in Moab.

My jeep is like most others a work in progrss.  Trying to improve my mechanical abilities, however I still have pros due the bulk of my mods due to lack of experience. and its my daily driver for the last 11 yrs.

Hello, I just bought a 94 YJ, 6inch lift stock 4cyl w/air intake upgrade. Hard top. I'm looking to keep it a 4cyl but would like to learn more about bolt ons. I live in Seminole, FL - originally from central MO. I'm a farm boy living in the city. Plan on doing all the work on the Jeep myself. I've worked on evey type of vehicle (except a Jeep) so this is new to me.
My wife and I just adopted a little boy and thought we had better by a toy before we loose the chance - expecially since we live in the sun shine state now.
Any info about upgrades -power booster -HP adds, what ever would be great. Also I'm looking to swap the hard top for a soft top - not knowing what I'm getting into - Looking to forward to hear all the chatter.

Hello everyone
My name is Pete and I am relatively new to the Jeep crowd.  I have a 1995 Jeep Wrangler Rio Grande 2.5L.  When I bought the jeep I had alot of problems with the Jeep, I had to replace the entire fuel system, the cat and muffler collapsed, complete tune up, hoses dry rotted.  After taking care of those problems I put on a dynomax cat and a flowmaster 40 series muffler, the stock tires looked to small so threw on 31x10.5x15, and put on a 3 inch suspension lift.  I have a hard top for winter and safari top, tonneau cover, and a wind jammer for summer.  I am saving up some money for the next set of mods which include a safari snorkel, 62mm throttle body, electric cooling fan, and performance injectors.  Not sure what else to say so nice to meet you all.

I'm Michael and I desperately miss my Jeeps!  First was a '92 YJ, 2.5 AX-5.  I loved the thing and probably shouldn't have sold it.  A few vehicles later I was in an XJ, 4.0 4x4 AW4.  It was fantastic but in the fall of '07 I was on the road a ton to finish my degree and for work, so I had to sell it to keep my family afloat.  Now I'm back to a point where I can get into another Jeep, and the 2.5 doesn't bother me, so I've been digging through the forums again.  Still not settled on whether to get a YJ or XJ, but hopefully I'll find the right one soon.

Hi-I'm Jim, I just got done writting all this stuff and then I heard "click" and it was all gone ! I truely hate computers ! So now for the shortened version. I'm 38, disabled due to Arnold Chiari-Malformation, Syringomyelia and Tethered cord giving me constant pain from nerve damage>I had 2 surgeries-1 brain surgery and 1 back surgery where they disconnected my spinal cord from my tail bone. I'm married with 2 kid's ages 5 & 7 (Girl and Boy-boy the oldest). I have a 97 TJ with a brand new Jasper 2.5L and Aussie lockers front and back. Now I just need a little more power, maybe a turbo? and a lift and tires. Anyone having Advice on either the Turbo or more power options please let me know (Oh and yes I do have a larger 63mm throttle body and spacer, but had to take the TB off for now due to warranty issue's). and yes I know the turbo would void my warranty-but I'm just in the planning stages right now. Thanks everyone !!
