bob , I have the same set up for my 84 cj7. my carter is always in 2. but I'm going with a smaller version of the mc2100 (1.01)with adaptor plate from a 1bl to a 2bl. the member here does all the setup specifically for you jeep and cacrges $270-$300 . he is from colorado and give instructions by phone CD and whatever it takes to get the carb bolted down, best thing is i get to cut my vac lines and plug them. Keep EGR, PCV, and free manual choke. the carb with be non conputerized. the persons names is micheal errman.be sales on ebay with many satisfied clients. and i'm satisfied with what he has to say and is a power seller.he also sells thr HEI distibutor. from an 84 brother i felt i need to relay this info. to you. hope i was of help!!!
