4.0 Throttle Body Swap
« on: March 11, 2007, 11:16:04 PM »
Just finished the 4.0 Throttle body swap on my 98 TJ and I am very impressed with the overall improvement. The engine idles smoother and has a very nice power gain! The only issue was of course the torx security screws on the AIS housing but I found the tool at Harbor Freight in both a socket driver and folding pocket type. This is one of the best performance mods I have done to my 4banger and thanks to all the technical information on this forum it was a breeze.

Yeah I have been going through my TJ one item at a time trying to get it all dialed in. My YJ spacer project has been on the back burner plus I need cash for materials to run off some quantity and most of my money's been going into my TJ with current focus being engine performance. The 4.0L TB swap was well worth the money spent. Took her to have the tires balanced last weekend and was told all my rims are bent, rock crawling does take it's toll, so Just Empty Every Pocket or keep it in the garage!
