I'll agree with the bumpsteer.  I've experienced the same problem with my buddies YJ.  We corrected the problem with a simple caster shim.  Then  when we converted to SPOA we se the caster at min spec.  No more bump steer!

You can't correct bumpsteer with a caster shim.  Bump steer can be solved by either using a drop pitman or raising the drag link connection higher at the knuckle/tierod (high steer)

just in case any one was wondering.... i fixed the issue. had the rebuild kit for the steering box and figured it would start there and try other things as i went through the whole front end till i figured out what was wrong. pulled the box off went to pull the pit man arm and broke my 5 ton gear puller. went and got a 7 ton and a freind who is 6'4" and 280, alll muscle and had him pull it off cuase i couldn't!

started taking apart the box and the pit man shaft was bent!!!! the main shaft that gose throught the box and controls all steering had a good 5 degree bend in it! how the hell did i do that? any which way replaced it and all the bearings packed it all in a grease and closed it up. works great.

now to look into getting the sye eliminator and putting in that ax15 i have laying around....

What was I thinking?  Your right!  We had issues with tire wobble at higher speeds!  My bad!
