Will rubicon springs fit on a 97TJ and are they taller than a stock TJ?

Yes they will and I believe you get about 1" of lift. Gomi put a set on her TJ, if you search I'm sure you'll find the thread about it.

cherokee coils will lift you up a bit too. I put cherokee springs on the front of mine when I added a winch and it leveled it right out.

Lift is inherent as the spring rate is different. You could see lift of 3/4" to 1.5" depending on the condition of your old springs to the new ones.

It is also dependent on where you take the measurement to conclude a lift. I measured mine at the coil brackets. I went up 1.25" when slipping a set of Rubicon Unlimited coils under my tired old 97 TJ back 5 yrs ago. I still use them today with ACOS up front and 2" poly spacer in the back for additional lift.
