Spring price?
« on: December 07, 2008, 04:16:16 PM »
How much should I pay for front and rear springs off a 06 rubicon? What sounds about right, I emailed a guy to get in touch with me so I can make an offer!

Also selling F&R Trac bars and F&R L&U control arms are they any better than a stock 97TJ's? Are they worth buying?

It depends on how many miles are on them. I got my Rubi shocks and spring with only 1600K on them. If I remember correctly I paid $130.00 for everything.
02 2.5.L automatic: 4.0L t.b., 4.0l air intake, K&N filter, Scream'n Demon coil, 8.5mm MSD Super Conductor plug wires, Stage 1 Jet Chip, 29" BFG all terrain KO's. Taurus E-fan, Hummer front bumper, Skyjacker high capacity trans pan, 48" hi-lift, Rubi susp w. 3/4" BB.

The track bars and control arms are exactly the same as your TJ. If you need replacement or want to keep his for replacements, then look at getting them. The front track bar has a tie rod end on it and this will wear. Aftermarket track bars come with adjustability for when you lift the vehicle, the axle can be recentered under the frame. Since the track bars are attached to the frame and axle, adding lift separates the axle from frame and pulls the axle to one side (towards the frame mount).
The coils will give you slight lift as they have a different coil rate. Since your vehicle is lighter, this provides lift. Most claim 1+".

So if you want the coils, get them. What you pay is based on your need to have and his need to sell. I got a set of Rubicon Unlimited coils, shocks, control arms, track bars, brake lines, basically everything that would get replaced with a complete lift, all for $50. He had tried to sell for about a year and got tired seeing them taking up space in the garage. I tossed the shocks (broken bar pins and stud shaft) and front track bar was worn out. The coils I still use along with a spacer lift and gave away the control arms and rear track bar. I still have the brake lines (they are the same for TJs).

I actually now have a set of OME 2.5" coils and a set of JKs to see which set provides better lift with the 4cyl TJ.
