Who would come up with having a national topless day in Febuary, don't these people understand that parts of this country get cold in winter?

I still might take the Cheep for a joy ride in the snow if the temp is atleast up to double digits.

double digits above or bellow zero  :pot:.... lol

We'll be topless Feb 7th for our next event.  No big deal.

Used to run topless with no heat in the cj2a on the Iron Range in the middle of Jan  :blbl:

When it's -15F you need a few more clothes ;)  (On the other hand it was 85 when I was at my folks place in Naples a few days ago)

Last time I drove to Naples with my wife, I left the top in Miami (hard top).  When we came back at almost midnight, the temp had droped to like 65~70*.  Let me tell you, when you are dressed in shorts and a T-Shirt, 70* can feel friking COOOOOOLD when driving at 70 mph!!!

Yup, it was getting down to around 58 at night and 85 during the day.  Major temp swings.  55 is fine in the hot tub though ;)

I'm sorry I have to completely disagree with you on this one, I run just a t-shirt in the Jeep w/o a top or on the bike anytime the weather gets above 60°.  Of course thats not happening this time of year, it's only suppossed to be a high of 20° here for the next week.

Well, I AM originally from Panama, where 100* year-round weather is normal...  Although I have lived up north (Baltimore and western Virginia), I have never gotten used to the cold weather...

while we are on the topic of cold weather... whats a good remedy for shifting into 4lo in a yj when it is cold and nothing wants to move.... the rubber boot doesn't want to move and keeps it just so that its not in gear and makes a nice grinding noise...

On mine I don't run the lower gasket and I cut a slot in the rubber boot so the shifter can move and live with the wind.  I keep meaning to buy a thinner boot, but it never occurs to me until I'm driving down the highway in the cold

Am i the only one in the southern states besides jfrabat? Down here in texas, the wqeather does not know if its coming or going. One day mid 70's next day its snowing. But yea topless day sounds good I'm tired of looking at my hardtop anywho. Do the jeeps need to be clean for pictures, or is it going to be a mud contest?

If you are saying after you shift it into 4lo, then it likes to pop out, do this...
Put it in 4lo, and keep your hand on it with pressure, then give it some throttle and it should stick there.
