I noticed that the left spring perch is cast into the housing. If so do you have any pics.
I used factory Mopar spring pads and ground the inboard side down so it rests on the cast area closest to the diff, then the outboard side rests on the axletube and the spring pad sits level. I then welded the spring pad to the tube using standard rod and to the cast areas using 55%nickel rod.
I had to do some grinding on the bottom of the axle for the inboard ubolt to fit snugly to the bottom of the axle. It rests on the old cast spring pad and you need to take the square edge off of it.
I'm currently having a Ford HP44 housing narrowed to Waggy width to run the Waggy axleshafts and have the advantage of a high pinion.
