if you wanna go d300, the adapter to mate it to the ax5 is about $500...which just happens to be the same price as a mad rooster or DD machine doubler kit. the doubler kit will turn the planetary of your 231 into a crawl box that then mates to the 300....so you get triple sticks and a 3 speed t case.
