.  the previous owner may have never even known.....
oh he def knew. vehicle had a terrible hard start when ya tried to start it..had to lay ur foot on the gas to get her to start...i didnt know cause it was running when i went to see it...and i asked him to cut it and start it again (though i didnt spot him pressing down on the gas to get her goin). either way, like you said (and i in my previous response) ya can get screwed with either..though id like i bit of a warranty the next time i purchase.
doesnt seem like theres much one can do with the jeep in this thread though...frame is prob rotted out. may be worth 500 bucks though. for use as parts maybe?

wow.  that was a shady move on that guys part.... my jeeps frame looked worse than the one in the pic, now it has a "used" frame under her.... it was done before my parents and law gave it to us but I certainly would not go through that kind of trouble personally.  would be more economical to get another jeep imo...

I sent an Email to the local news station's "consumer report" guy. See if they have any interest in this.

I think you did a lot of good getting on the lot, taking a look and snapping the photos.  Yeah, the dealer is apparently out in front of state law -- he disclosed the "rust."

But that photo looks like an accident or death waiting to happen.  So, nice work getting that one!  You helped somebody there  :thumb:

It was taken off the site and lot the day after they recieved a ton of harassing Emails and calls from people on various forums. Believe they took it to auction, no way it was coincidence especially after being on the lot for weeks.
