Clutch master cylinder problems

The clutch master in mt 93 YJ went out and I've been going crazy trying to fix it.
I finally got a good master (I think) the first 3 were crap. #1 you could feel the piston rattling in the bore. #2 the fluid turned black from the seal deteiorating (sp) and #3just wouldn't pump up. All 3 were a metal bodied master, first 2 were reman, #3 was new made in China.
#4 is polymer bodied made by Sachs in USA same as the original one I took off.
The cylinder pumped up great with good pedal feel and my brother and I went through almost a quart of fluid bleeding it, ended up with a nice strong stream when the bleeder is opened.
Still no clutch. No fluid leaking from the slave or anywhere else, only very tiny bubbles in the master when I pump the pedal. Slave is pretty new, less than 10K miles.
Whats wrong here?
BTW The master has the pinned in line so bench bleeding is a no go.

take the slave off and see if it leaks (assuming is an external slave)

once it's off take the pushrod out and stick it in the opening and press against the fork. measure the length of the rod sticking out of the bellhousing - this is to make sure there's enough travel for the slave to release the pressure plate off the clutch. if there is then it could be that a clutch spring broke and it got stuck between the disk and the pressure plate (or flywheel) and in that case it won't release

EDIT: or could be that the pressure plate is damaged

Internal slave  :brick:. Fly wheel just resurfaced. Could be a broken spring.
Don't know what to do next.

broken spring or pressure plate diaphragm my guess if the slave does not leak. Internal slave is no fun  :rant:

If there is a broken damper spring stuck behind the pressure plate fingers then the pedal will get very hard and will not go all the way to the floor. First thing to ask does the pedal feel normal after all the bleeding or it goes to the floor or close to that and it does not spring back like normal when released?

actually you'll still have some travel in the diaphragm (on 1 side will still go down to the clutch disk) but for sure won't feel "normal"

Pedal feels normal, in fact it feels great. Better than before the master went out.
When master cyl #3 went out I drove the Jeep home a few blocks by double clutching and didn't hear any odd noises in bell housing.
I need to add that Master #3 actually worked for a bit, drove through neighborhood about 2 miles and started to loose the pedal, went home checked fluid, and drove to the store, when I restarted I had no clutch. That's when I double clutched it home.
Now I'm on master cylinder #4.
