Installing new outside door handles on 94 YJ with full steel doors

Hello,

Ok, so how in the hell do you get to these things to replace them?  94 YJ with full steel doors...the retainer portion is broke so it pulls out as you try to open the door and most of the time the door won't open.  Bought the parts and cannot figure out how to get to them to get the old ones out and replace.

Take the inner door panel off.  You can see the door handle from inside.  On the two sides there are two wedgee with steps cut into them.  YOu need to knock those out with a dowel or screw driver.  Once those are out and the link is removed the handle should come out.
