I know this has been beat to death on other forums but I would like to hear what the other 4banger drivers think.

Which one would drain more power, cause more stress, provide more benifits off road?

I don't think you'll notice much differen with either tire.  I used to run 32x11.5R15's for many years.  No complaints other then being small.  33's are more standard size but not everyone makes them 10.5" wide.  Kind of limits your choices.  What it really comes down to is how they'll perform offroad where YOU are.  Do you need narrow tires to cut through stuff or do you want to be floating on top?  You'll get more traction with the wider tires and marginally better performance because of the overall dia.

The 33" would drain more power and cause more stress, but the difference is very minimal.  Given the weights would likely be close on comparable tires, the 33" has a little added leverage stressing stock components, and the added height would reduce the effective gearing.

Like Jeffy mentioned, depends a lot on what tire you want to run and what sizes it's available in.  One of the best performing tires I've seen is the 32"x10.5" TSL Radial.  A true 32" tall and aggressive while remiaining well-mannered on the road.

Right now I am running TrXus Mt's but have been thinking about BFT MT's for my next set.  I figure the 33x10.50s weigh about the same as my 31's and would give me some extra hight.  I am running 15x7 aluminum AR rims and hope to have 4.88's soon
