Here's a quick tip.

Most cat-back exhaust companies are making their exhaust tips larger these days.  Problem is, if you have modified your Jeep, you can run into clearance issues and even if you haven't, they tend to hang out far enough to where they are very exposed.  This was one of the problems I had with the Borla cat-back system.  Even the previous exhaust tip which was smaller had come into contact with the shackle a few times.  On the Rubicon Trail, I managed to drag it over a few rocks as well.  The new Borla tip is about a 1/2" wider and over an inch longer.

So with some carefully cutting, you can remove the exhaust tip without damaging the rest of the pipe inside.  This was done to keep as much of the pipe length as possible since the hanger is also attached to the tip.  Then grind off what's left or leave it.  It's stainless steel so it will tarnish and blend back in over time.

The new tip already had a few gouges where the shackle bolt had hit it.

Now the exhaust tip is well protected and has plenty of clearance.
